HARMONY PILGRIMAGES

ABOUT

ABOUT

Harmony Pilgrimages specializes in offering custom, immersive tours to Israel, Palestine, and Jordan while finding compassion, understanding, and peace in a world plagued by internal and external conflict. Trips are designed to immerse you in rich cultural experiences while exploring the complexities of the region's history and conflicts. While most groups turn away from these complexities in despair, Harmony Pilgrimages instead turns towards, believing that education, understanding, and internal healing work can lead to harmony and compassion, both externally and internally. Ultimately, that compassion will heal the world. As a practitioner trained in the psychospiritual model of Internal Family Systems, Katie uses her knowledge and understanding of trauma, internal polarizations and conflict, and healing systems to offer a space for travelers to process their own emotions, agendas, biases, and prejudices as they move through the land.

Harmony Pilgrimages offers both secular and religious trips.
Secular trips tour ancient cities and archaeological sites, meet with local peace and justice leaders, visit locations instrumental in understanding the political landscape, and experience local food, activities, and conversations which provide diverse multicultural experiences.

Religious trips blend music, faith, justice, and culture, balancing cultural, political, historical and religious sites, all in one trip! As a seasoned professional liturgical musician, Katie brings along her guitar and her voice, providing inspiring music for Masses, services, and meditations. A group may spend the morning singing hymns on the bank of the Jordan River at the site where Jesus was baptized, have lunch with Palestinian children in a UN refugee camp, spend the afternoon learning about the Dead Sea Scrolls in the caves where they were discovered, and end the evening singing Christmas carols in the grotto of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem.
