HARMONY PILGRIMAGES

Blending Faith, Justice, Music, and Mission in a Unique Holy Land Tour
ABOUT

ABOUT

Harmony Pilgrimages specializes in custom Holy Land and pilgrimage tours that blend faith, justice, music, and mission.  Katie has led trips to the Holy Land for over a decade while working as a music minister in churches all over the United States.  Each group is different, so each trip is customized for the particular needs and desires of the participants.

Katie has used music and relationships to work towards peace in the Holy Land and is passionate about bringing awareness to the challenges facing those living in the conflict everyday.  A group may spend the morning singing praise on the bank of the Jordan River at the site where Jesus was baptized, have lunch with Palestinian children in a UN refugee camp, spend the afternoon learning about the Dead Sea Scrolls in the caves where they were discovered, and end the evening singing Christmas carols in the grotto of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem.

SEE & DO

WHAT TO SEE AND DO

Sea of Galilee

Spend time in prayer on the Mt. of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee, dip your toes in the water at the site where Jesus made breakfast for his disciples, see a fishing boat from the first century, and take a boat ride out onto the Sea of Galilee.

Jerusalem

Walk the steps of Jesus in His final week on earth, from the Last Supper room to the Mount of Olives to his crucifixion site. Visit the Temple Mount, Western Wall and Dome of the Rock. Enjoy shopping in the Old City market for gifts to bring home!

Bethlehem

Step into a cave in Shepherd's Field and then eat a Bedouin style dinner overlooking the field, sing Christmas carols in the grotto of Jesus' birth, and meet with local Christians who trace their Christian heritage back to the time of Jesus.

UN Refugee Camp/Settler Meeting

Tour a UN refugee camp, hearing stories from local refugees while seeing the border wall up close. Then go tour a settlement in the West Bank and meet with a settler inside a local synagogue.

Petra

Step back thousands of years into the ancient city of Petra, one of the new seven wonders of the world. Ride a camel through the streets to the Treasury, made famous in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and step inside the ancient caves and tombs.

Nazareth

Visit the site where Mary received her message from Gabriel, go pray in Cana at the site of Jesus' first miracle, meet local school children, and walk through the remains of a destroyed village from 1948.

GUEST REVIEW

"This once in a lifetime trip transformed the way I read the biblical stories.  When I imagine Jesus walking on the Sea of Galilee, I can see it, feel it, hear it, even smell it."
